The footprint of the building was oriented such that it opened its arms to the backyard concept – looking out to the river and springs in the backdrop.
The interiors took on the "backyard" theme with blackened steel "boulders" that are scattered about the common area for conference areas, collaboration steps in the shape of natural topography – a feature that is both interior and exterior, Planters filled with live trees, real wood paneling throughout bring warmth of a forest, and natural light comes through at every angle. There is an industrial layer between consisting of blackened steel, raw board formed concrete, and charcoal features. This Facility is to be LEED Certified.
